Music is a much loved part of life at The Scots School.
Our vibrant Music Department has a reputation for excellence, of which
we are very proud.

Our Head of Department, Mrs Denise Garland has been with The Scots School for 12 years.
Talented musicians can audition for a music scholarship.

The Scots School has a number of Music Ensembles for Students. These include:

Private Music Lessons
Private Music lessons can be arranged to be at school from 8am to 5pm each day in a variety of instruments. Teachers are well qualified and some are from the Mitchell Conservatorium of Music.
Lessons are usually for half an hour and accounts are sent by the individual teachers or Mitchell Conservatorium.
Instruments can be hired from the school. All students who have private lessons are encouraged to be part of an ensemble. Music Ensembles at The Scots School are: Orchestra, Concert Ensemble, String Ensemble, Stage Band and Choir.
